October's Group of the Month is the Chess Group held twice a month on Monday mornings.
Join Anthony and the group to play chess and meet others who also play the game. It doesn't matter whether you are just starting out or an established player, all are welcome.
U3A Norwich used to have a thriving chess group but, unfortunately, it closed down just before the pandemic. We are trying to revive it. We have held two meetings and currently have 5 enthusiastic members. We would like to have more!
We meet twice a month on a Monday at 10.30am at my house in NR4 .
Our next meeting is on Monday 5th October. We welcome all abilities from beginners upwards. We play friendly games with a little help and advice if required. Many people now play on-line and a little group like ours can help with improvement and give a human dimension to a fascinating pastime.
