A new group is formed simply by a member deciding that they have an interest that's probably shared by some other members. The group is easily created by filling in the form below which ensures the group is visible on this web site, the groups news and the newsletters and so can be advertised to attract new members.

Group leaders are supported by the committee particularly at the start in terms of how to run a group and financial help to get the groups going dependent on the type of group.

​The general guidance on running a group is contained in our guidebook. NB - Group leaders are also known as Convenors and you may see this term used in some of our documents.

If you wish to start a new group, this is what you need to do:

• First, check that a similar group does not already exist. You check by going to the 'Our Groups' page.
• Complete and submit the details below
• Wait for a response from the Groups Coordinator to say that everything is OK
• Get your Group started!
